Sliver

Before the dawn,
As early birds arise,
The waning moon
Peeks conspiratorially
Through night's curtain.

A silent secret
Shared with but a few
Solitary travelers
Seeking sanctuary,
Pursuing peace.

Poem: 19 March 2012

Twisted, teetering
Torn, and tumbling.
Tired, tumultuous,
Tepid, and talkative.
Tedious, tearful,
Tender.
Tenacious.

Shopping Spree

I think I have a new favorite shop - White House | Black Market. Grabbed a few additional pieces, but these are my favorites from yesterday's adventure.

Trivia night

What a night! Actually made it out of work in time to head to trivia night. Only half of last session's winning team, The Goonies, were in attendance, but the newbies were showing great promise and enthusiasm.

Food consumed, second (or third) round of drinks in hand, the quiz begins!

The first question was a piece of cake, and the newbies caught the fever after that quick win. Nothing could stop us now.

Except the MC packing up his things and leaving.

Seriously.

Four questions in he calls time, and says he needs to go. Lots of catcalling ensues from the crowd, and we find out his apartment is on fire.

Fair enough reason to leave.

We're already planning our strategy to return and dominate next week...

I'm not proud...

Last to leave the office tonight. Even the cleaners left before I did.

Brief time for decompressing, as the alarm goes off in 5 hours.

New Swag

New LMI tee snagged from the swag pile today - needs an iron, but looks cute on!

Geeking Out

Most awesome-ist soda dispenser ever.

Pomegranate

Lincoln, MA, walking trail

The light was really lovely during the walk, starting to angle down in the sky, casting warm golden light over everything.

Orchard House

Lousia May Alcott's homestead in Concord, MA. Within throwing distance of Ralph Waldo Emerson's house, and The Wayside, where Nathaniel Hawthorne lived.

Behind the second story windows on the right is where she penned Little Women, one of my favourite novels.
